Cyber Terrorism

A new growing trend on the Internet and especially in SEO in both social network marketing as well as general public relations is a negative growing trend often times referred to as either personal or corporate cyber terrorism. This consist of purchasing from a foreign body, usually; we have found them to be in India, Pakistan, the former Soviet Republic, et cetera, where individuals are selling the idea that you can negatively impact your competitors SEO by posting negative information on the web, mainly anonymously into such places as blogs, chat rooms, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, et cetera.

Please be aware in the upcoming workshop for search engine optimization and social network marketing. We will cover this new growing trend of how to protect yourself against your persona or your business being attacks by both domestic and foreign terrorism. An example is, is that if you are to be in Google and you had a neighbor who is just upset with you they can actually post information about your dog using their front yard as a restroom. This might not be that big of an issue for you now but can you imagine that one of your main clients actually looks for information on you so that they may contact you because they are simply away from their desk. They do a search on Google for your name and they find out hugely negative information about you, which is clearly slander.

The problem is, is that this becomes what is called a tort case and the tort case would be something to the effect of, in most states, called hindering the ability to do business or to make an income. It would cost you about $10,000 to file this suit, argue with them, and then all they have to do is a punishment at the end is “I am sorry. I was unaware that this was illegal. I will cease and desist.”

This does not necessarily mean that they will. I have created a website just for this reason to show you the negative effects that one or two small postings can do to negatively affect your persona, your business, even your hobbies.
