Why should you NOT use the law firm of Meheula and Devens?
I, George Brown, had a motorcycle accident around 14 months ago, and the law firm of Meheula & Devens was my worst selection. Little did I know what I know now.
The Law Firm of Meheula & Devens mishandled my settlement and then decided that Vlad Devens has asserted his lien against my settlement.
He had decided that although he is in clear breach of contract, he should still get over $18,000 for do little work which was not completed. But still let me tell you about how Vlad Devens and the partners of the law firm Meheula and Devens mishandled my settlement.
The first would be, their attorney fee agreement, which stated that they would handle ALL of the claims for compensation from my motorcycle accident.
But here is how they decided that they could be deceptive, in the first paragraph they use the phrase, to do whatever they deem necessary or desirable. Funny but what they have decided to do is put in a phrase which means they may do whatever they want. As stated or desire, so if they want they can decide to do whatever they want.
So after a couple of months, I had ready a claim against GEICO for over $95,000 and they wrote up a statement, which one day they sent me, certified mail, which notified me, we have decided not to pursue this matter.
Oh they did mention, that my case has merit, and that they suggest I find other lawyers for this part of the settlement.
BUT the law firm of Meheula and Devens would still like the other part of the settlement. So at this point I am ready to discharge the law firm of Meheula and Devens, but Vlad Devens calls me and tells me that they will go after the other insurance company for a lot of money.
He convinced me that they the law firm of Meheula and Devens would be my best choice to get the maximum amount, telling me that having a powerful law firm like the law firm of Meheula and Devens would get more then anyone else. I believed him and continued with his advice.
On Aug 20th I had finished all of my medical issues, and I asked the law firm of Meheula and Devens, mainly Vlad Devens, could we please move forward with this claim. Vlad Devens then told me that he would expedite the claim.
I think this must be Lawyer speak for it will take 6 more months to make a document called the Damage package.
The Law firm of Meheula & Devens also misspelled my Doctors name, which I had already given them, sent request for medical records to hospitals that I had never been at, and waited on 2 doctor's reports, that they already had, but was so unorganized that they did not even know it until I explained it.
But for all of this, the reason it took so long, 6 months for the Law Firm of Meheula and Devens to complete this Damage Package? So they can claim they invest a great amount of time to the case. So when the insurance company they offers a settlement which is only 20% of the damages, Vlad Devens tells me of why I should take this. What he did not want me to know, was that this really meant that they would have to wait longer, be able to take even more of my settlement and bleed every dollar they can out of the settlement.
